International Journal of Economic Development

The International Journal of Economic Development was active from 1999-2007 under the guidance of editor Tom Liou. Work published in IJED has been made freely available; all rights are retained by SPAEF.

Articles in this publication enhanced our understanding and knowledge of economic development from both theoretical and practical perspectives. The journal offered a channel for students, researchers, and practitioners to study major policy and managerial issues related to economic development at all levels of government. IJED emphasized a comprehensive and interdisciplinary approach to exploring economic development issues from such aspects as development economics, political economy, development administration, regional and urban economic development. The journal focused not only on the contribution of private and nonprofit organizations to economic development but also the important role of government, public policy and management, in economic development.
