This study examines the effect of microfinance on poverty and small business income. A key finding is that access to credit has a larger effect on improving the standard of living than that of education. Not surprisingly, however, those with secondary education or higher reported higher income generated from the micro-financed business. Those who took a larger risk by borrowing larger amounts earned higher income.
